Skincare Must-Haves for Your Self-Quarantine
With the Stay-At-Home Order in place, there's never been a better time to focus on revamping your skincare routine! One of our estheticians, Stephanie, puts the spotlight on her top quarantine must-haves, and why they should be a staple in your life.
With all this time now spent at home, we can take advantage of at-home skincare treatments and focus on sticking to our regimens! A few products I have been reaching for are the Renew Serum from Glo Skin, MeriStem Serum from Circadia, and one of my all-time favorites: Aveda Hand Relief!
It’s the perfect time to take a break from makeup! By skipping primers and foundations, your skin will look smoother and clearer, because primers and foundations can contain pore-clogging ingredients. It's also the perfect time to target any skin concerns you’ve been wanting to address! The Renew Serum is the perfect product for the job. With a blend of Retinol, Glycolic Acid, and Salicylic Acid, this exfoliating serum improves texture, draws out impurities, and minimizes the look of pores. All skin types can benefit from the Renew Serum, but it's especially beneficial for acne, texture, pigmentation, and fine lines! It's a staple in my routine for adding exfoliation and preventing clogged pores.
To follow up the Renew Serum, I've been reaching for Circadia's MeriStem Serum. This skin-revitalizing superstar has a blend of six plant stem cell extracts including Edelweiss Stem Cell and Apple Stem Cell extracts. This serum provides antioxidant support to neutralize free radicals and slows down the aging process. All skin types can use the MeriStem Serum, but it's especially beneficial for aging skin and sensitized skin. (Different from sensitive skin, which is a skin type, sensitized skin is a condition usually due to incorrect product usage or over processing of the skin).
My last notable favorite product has to be Aveda Hand Relief. All of the hand washing has made my skin incredibly dry. Hand Relief contains Andiroba oil and plant hydrators to keep your hands moisturized, soothed, and protected. It’s a MUST right now!
